Provider Satisfaction of Academic Detailing (PSAD)

• An instrument to capture provider satisfaction with an academic detailing visit. Given the importance of satisfaction as a process outcome, as well as a potential predictor of program effectiveness, PSAD was developed due to the need for a valid and reliable measure of provider satisfaction with AD visits.

Detailer Assessment of Visit Effectiveness (DAVE)

• An instrument to capture the detailer’s assessment of the effectiveness of the visit. The goal of the entire AD process is for it to be effective for all parties involved. By using DAVE, organizations can learn first-hand from their detailers how the visit went and its potential benefits.

This is an example of the questions we ask detailers to prompt important details from the academic detailing visit. While this is not meant to be exhaustive, it’s a good starting point to developing your own framework and eliciting the details from academic detailing visits you are most interested in capturing.
